Rubber Band Legs

I am exhausted! I have been up since two a.m. today.

Why did I wake from my slumber so early?

She finally did it. She finally broke up with me. Over the phone at two o'clock in the morning.
Who breaks up with someone over the phone at two o'clock in the gorram morning!? I, of course did not say anything about the fact that she broke up with me at 2 a.m.; this is what went down.

*ring ring*

*ring ring*

Me - (answering the phone) Ugh hello...?

Her - I don't know how to say this... but, uh, I'm breaking up with you.

Me - Well, thank you for finally doing the right thing.

Her - Go to hell!

And, that is why all her stuff that was in my room is now on the front lawn.

Now, before you think I am a bitch, before I threw it onto the front lawn I had the courtesy to put it all in plastic bags.

After I finished purging my room of her tainted belongings I browsed the net for TEFL Certification courses. From, 8 to 11 I called various learning institutes in the area to see if they offered the said courses which lead to nothing. At 11 I took a shower then walked to Old North Charleston and inquired about jobs in every single place there is up there. Lots of walking. Lots of "No"s and a few applications later I sat down with Reverend Belec and talked about Methodists vs. Baptists, and how there are more exceptions than rules in the English Language.

He's a very nice man, and an acquaintance of my father's through work, and he's an awful lot like my Uncle Ed... I thought he might of been Ed incognito for awhile there. Or even Uncle Will (Ed's twin brother), but the Reverend's personality is more akin to Ed's.

Then I stopped by Madra Rua one more time just to pester them about my application before I walked all the way home.

Walking home, with the exception of talking with Rev. Belec, was probably the most interesting part of my day since I saw a man tackled and arrested, got waved at by a surveyor working for the city, and was whistled at by a creepy dude in a wobbly cream and rust colored Pontiac. Of course I did get a lot of stares today, maybe it's these pants make my butt look good?

Thinking back I'm pretty sure I got checked out about twenty something times.
Not bad for a too-tall slightly-too-thick mamacita.

Yup, these pants make my booty look luscious.
